HomeAway seeking User Experience Developer. Performs coding, unit testing, integration testing for functionality and limits with high quality deliverables. Is comfortable integrating with multiple backend environments such as dotnet, coldfusion and java.
Responsibilities will include:
Define and build user-centered, web-based, vacation rental real estate applications.
Create wireframes, mockups and design specifications
Support world-wide requirements
Understand/leverage industry best practices
Work with developers to optimize user experience
Research information/best design practices that enhance value of site
Ensure consistency with corporate design/brand guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
5 years minimum experience user interface development building web based e-commerce software applications
Experience developing navigation flow charts, storyboards, wireframes, mockups, user interface specs
Must possess strong design background and full understanding UI design, page hierarchy, typography, color theory, branding
Understanding of modern web standards, design implications of CSS-based layout also required
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools for rapid, iterative prototyping
Commercial web site experience - preferably in ecommerce, online travel, and/or online real estate
Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic, rapidly growing environment
Expert knowledge HTML, CSS,JavaScript
Experience Flash and Photoshop preferred
Experience with mapping technologies preferred (Google Maps)
Experience international rollouts preferred
CS degree or related field strongly preferred.
